'I love making, and eating, hummus. I\'ve been making the recipe from Barefoot Contessa Cookbook for many years. This time I adapted it and used roasted garlic and my new Cuisinart 11 Cup Elemental Food Processor. Quick hummus in the food processor Adapted from Barefoot Contessa cookbook by Ina Garten 4 garlic cloves* 2 cups canned chickpeas, drained, liquid reserved. 1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt. 1/3 cup tahini (sesame paste) 6 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice (2 lemons) 2 tablespoons water or liquid from the chickpeas. 8 dashes hot sauce. *I used 4 cloves roasted garlic Place all ingredients in food processor work bowl with chopping blade. Lock lid and press pulse a few times to start the pureeing. Then Let it go on HIGH or just click it so the machine continuously purees for 30 seconds or so. Makes 1 bowl of hummus use anything you like for dipping and spreading - a knife or crackers, pita bread, or you can drizzle it with olive oil and just go crazy. I sometimes garnish with some zaatar or dukkah or minced up nuts. Risa\'s notes: Tahini can be found at any good supermarket or specialty market. It is a sesame paste, somewhat like peanut butter. It has a much milder flavor. It is very rich. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Roland-Tahini-Pure-Ground-Sesame-Seed-16-oz/44708539 It is usually in with the peanut butter. I\'ve seen it at Walmart, Job Lot, and fancier stores such as Williams-Sonoma. My food processor is now available at Walmart at a pretty good price. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Cuisinart-Elemental-11-Cup-Food-Processor-Silver/46063629?wmlspartner=wlpa&adid=22222222227033764392&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=70399460192&wl4=pla-138226144832&wl5=9003730&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=8175035&wl11=online&wl12=46063629&wl13=&veh=sem&gclid=CjwKCAiAy-_iBRAaEiwAYhSlA7zPEX0jSDQB6aVMVcXzn0hVYW131_nxQYgEHhRskzRl9O_OcdyO_xoCKtwQAvD_BwE'
