'My #brightlineeating journey has helped me lose over 77 lbs and keep it off for months now! But we don’t eat sugar or flour. We eat a lot of veggies and fruits, so how do we fly internationally!? I had a full 13 hour day of airports and flights to navigate. Customs And 3X through security as well. A long tiring day requires the proper fuel. But what do you do when you can’t bring liquid through security? What do you do when you can’t bring fruits and veggies across the border? You RE-Arrange your meals my friend!! I had my most core meal for breakfast. My body NEEDS dark leafy greens, my legumes and my avocado. So I had a big lunch-portion salad for breakfast before traveling (I also did this on my way down. And that one was at 3:00 in the morning but I still did it!!), then I had my next-biggest veggie meal for lunch BEFORE I crossed the border. 16 oz veggies is a big loss if they got taken away and a VERY EXPENSIVE amount of veggies to try and purchase in an airport!! Then I made a “bake” for my breakfast-for-dinner. The bake had pumpkin purée and mashed banana in it for my fruits and veggies. Oats for my grain, and eggs/peanut butter for my proteins. Easy peasy, and looks/Carry’s just like a big ol’ muffin. Sometimes we need to get unconventional when it comes to traveling internationally. I ate all my bright food. No sugar no flour, no snacks, all weighed and measured. All I did was switch around which meals I ate at which times. I should also add, that my first day of travel I knew I would be awake from 1 AM until 10 PM. SO I ADDED a fourth meal. I had a lunch-for-breakfast, travelled with 2 breakfast bakes, and book-ended with dinner at Linnea’s place when I arrived. I was not over full, and it didn’t make me squirrely. It was exactly what I needed. Best of luck with your traveling!'See also:
