'South Zone Police Raids On Adulterated Food Processing Units In Old City Hyderabad | Urdu News | Indtoday News Hyderabad:(Maxim News) The South Zone police raided various adulterated product manufacturing units across old city and nabbed several persons. The police raided units including Bhavani Agencies, Chakram Brand in Rakshapuram, MKR products and Royal Rose ginger-garlic paste unit in Moinbagh at Santhosh Nagar. Bhavani Agency’s owner, A Sarjaiah alias Shekar, 43, a resident of Nadergul, was held for manufacturing sub-standard quality chilli powder, Aamchur, turmeric, and other spices. Mohammed Mujeeb-Ur-Rahaman (45), owner of MKR products was held for manufacturing adulterated Royal Rose ginger-garlic paste with food colour, potatoes, onions, and acid. “They had no valid license. They supplied the stuff to local markets. It caused health issues in consumers,” said South Zone DCP V Satyanarayana. Police raided Sri Sai Stores in Bhayyalal Nagar in Chatrinaka and held its owner B Purna Chander for selling loose oil and dalda after boiling. Though he was authorised to sell oil and dalda, he tampered the seal and sold them after boiling for easy money. He was earlier arrested by the Chatrinaka police for similar offence. The police arrested Mohammed Ghouse Qureshi, a resident of Akbernagar, in Edibazar for running an illegal slaughter house. He bought meat (Buffalo meat) from slaughter houses in Doodhbowli and Fathedarwaza, and sold it. He also slaughters cattle under unhygienic conditions and supplies. “He also extracts fat from animal bones and filled in tins. He sold them to Mohammed Amjad and Khaja Moinuddin who were earlier held for similar offence,” police said. The Chandrayangutta police raided a house in Begum Bazar and arrested its owner Syed Rasheed for illegally manufacturing Gutkha under various brand names. About 25 lakhs worth products were seized. The Bahadurpura police nabbed a dentist named as Dr Hafeezullah Khan (24), a resident of Kishan Bagh for preparing adulterated honey by mixing glucose, sugar, and water. He used to pack them in bottles and supplied in local market without valid licence. The Bahadurpura police also arrested Mohammed Rafiq from Kishan Bagh for selling adulterated edible oil.
