'To celebrate my YouTube channel surpassing one mllion views, I thought I\'d try to show off a kind of cooking that\'s very popular, has been used for centuries, AND is seen by many people as being more than just cooking: Oriental stir frying. There\'s a long and traditional form of stir frying in the Far East that\'s so special, it\'s actually seen as a kind of spiritualism. In China they call it WOK HEI: the breath of the wok, and when a stir fry is cooked in this tradition, folks even say it gives an energy to the food that\'s a kind of Qi. Now, whether or not you believe this is \"magic,\" I\'ll just say that doing a stir fry in the traditional Oriental manner is a LOT of fun, and it gives you some delicious food that tastes far more than just meat and vegetables thrown together in the pan. That\'s a good reason to give this a try, and see how tasty a well cooked stir fry can be. This video is especially made for using cast iron on an ELECTRIC stovetop. Most of the stir frying videos on YouTube star a gas stove or grill, but here we present some tips on getting a decent stir fry if you don\'t have a gas stove in your kitchen. Welcome to 21st century America, where not everyone can cook with gas. :) Some additional rambling about the mystic art of stir frying can be seen on my Web site, Cast Iron Chaos, at: http://www.modemac.com/cgi-bin/wiki.pl/Wok_Hei_-_The_Mystical_Art_of_Stir_Frying Pentagram by Audionautix is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution license (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/) Artist: http://audionautix.com/'
