'Samah Dada, Erin Phraner, Vallery Lomas discuss how they hone their craft at the intersection of recipe development and video production, moderated by Reshma Gopaldas, VP, Video, SHE Media. She grew up in Newport Beach, California and spent four years in London, England where she first became enamored with the intersection of food, travel, and culture. After studying Media and Public Policy at UC Berkeley and solo-traveling through Europe, Samah pursued her dream of moving to New York to join the prestigious NBCUniversal Page Program. She has worked full-time in broadcast television production at the TODAY Show where she is also an on-air food contributor. She is the host of her own digital cooking show, a TODAY Show original series called #COOKING with @DADAEATS. She started @DADAEATS with the goal of sharing her culinary endeavors, food adventures, and passion for creating indulgent yet healthy eats with her audience.   Erin Phraner is a Supervising Video Producer at BuzzFeed, where she manages teams dedicated to the creation of highly shareable editorial and branded lifestyle content across platforms covering food, home, entertainment, health and family. Before BuzzFeed, Erin was Senior Video Producer at Good Housekeeping and Assistant Food Editor at Food Network Magazine.  In 2017, Vallery Lomas won ABC’s “The Great American Baking Show.” She has since appeared on CNN, the Hallmark Channel, ABC, and Fox. She presented at the 2018 James Beard Awards, and has joined the board for the International Association of Culinary Professionals. She has been featured in People Magazine, Buzzfeed, Forbes, Variety, Grubstreet, the Chicago Tribune, Food & Wine, and many others. Prior to becoming a \"full time foodie,\" Vallery worked as an attorney for eight years. In fact, she started her blog during her final year of law school. She now spends her days developing recipes, working as a brand ambassador, and appearing at food and wine festivals on behalf of a number of prominent brands.
