'How to save money on food while you are traveling? When I say save money on food in travel it doesn’t mean to starve, it means to spend wisely because we all know that we can’t cut the expenses of food, and it is inevitable. In this video, I’ll show you the ways that you can save money on food while you are traveling. Okay, I’ll tell you the rules which I follow to save my money on food. I assume that you are a traveler and not a food tester with a big 50Kg belly. If you have a big belly then these rules are not for you. 1- eat only 2 meals per day: I personally eat only 2 meals per day while I travel, most of the time I either skip breakfast or dinner, but lunch is always a must and main meal for me. But it doesn’t mean that I don’t eat anything in between, for example, I wake up at 7 in the morning and I drink tea and some chocolate and other snacks, nuts and fruits, about 10 I eat my breakfast and around 7 or 8 pm I eat my dinner, and in between I supply my body with nuts, biscuits, snacks or fruits, and beverages. I never starve in travel, okay sometimes I do, but why do I do this because it keeps me light enough to walk around and enjoy my travel time and I won’t feel heavy to become sleepy whole day. 2- eat like you are in your home town: I don’t know about you but I don’t eat at a touristic restaurant when I am in my city. I always go to the grocery stores and buy the ingredients for my food and I cook it tax-free and I give a tip to myself. And I always love it. You can do this if you are staying somewhere that gives you a free kitchen. Like hostels and hotels. You can save too much money if you cook your own food. 3- eat where locals eat: Yeah in travel I know it is impossible to avoid eating outside, but you can do it wisely, for example when you are on road and you don’t have a kitchen you surely needs some good food to eat, then you can just look around and see where local people go for their lunch, you go there and you will save your money like local people. There are lots of small places for eating, but yeah don’t always follow the rules, sometimes go to fancy restaurants and have fun. 4- book a room with free breakfast: before you book your hotel or hostel room make sure they offer free breakfast, because when it’s free then you will save your money and time when you start your day. 5- pack nuts, dried fruits, and snacks: never travel with no energy supply, as you take your phone power bank, don’t forget to pack some nuts, dried fruits, and snacks in your backpack. I sometimes even skip my lunch when I am on road just with these little foods that I have with me. 6- take a pack of tea bags with you: I love tea, and I always have tea bags with me, so I just save lots of money and time in the long run only on tea. 7- don’t pay for your food: if you have watched my previous video about free accommodation you should have seen that I explained how you can get free accommodation along with free foods, most of the time volunteering opportunities come with free foods and beverages. Some give only breakfast and lunch, and some others give you food 3 times per day with free drinks. So you could get rid of food expenses, how awesome is that. 8- share your food: yeah when you give you receive, you can go to fancy restaurants and spend money like nothing because you go out with friends, and you can just order different dishes and share it with your friends, and you will eat good food and also you could save money. please subscribe and hit the like button if you found this video helpful. please follow me on my Instagram channel and Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Amin.nomad https://www.instagram.com/aminbehravan1/ my website: www.aminbehravan.com if you have any suggestion, you can reach me at me@aminbehravan.com'
