'SAD WEEK! A week ago Fri my propane RV off grid fridge started to get warmer and it failed completely last Tues. I am still working on the cold food in the freezer before it spoils. Usually a propane fridge is the only option for off grid food cooling. DC motors put out a lot of dirty electricity and AC refrigerators put out even more, plus lots of RF radiation, due to the inverter and lately they are now manufactured w/ the same transmitting chip as a smart meter. Also these options also would require I expand to a 2KW system to power those in my area! That is why propane is often the choice for off grid. Both Propane and DC models cost a lot of $$. A replacement for my unit is about $2K. The cost of loosing all the food is insurmountable! Hundreds plus hundreds for all that pure organic food. Much of it must be ordered by the case from a buying club! I am now left with an insulated, box that seals at the door but does not cool.'
