'Its taken me a while to get round to making this vid following on from my dehydrating vegetables and fruit. This is my usual recipe for simple homemade biltong using my dehydrator which can be tailored to suit individual tastes. I tend to dehydrate this so it is completely dry as I often make a batch that i want to store for a month or more but you can also do it so the meat is still tender inside if you are going to eat it within say a week. Me and SWMBO (she who must be obeyed) are going to see the inlaws this weekend so I thought I would make up a batch to nibble in the car. My next bushcraft food vid should hopefully be combining the dehydrated meat and veg along with a few herbs and spices to make a one pot stew that can be stored for long periods in an airtight bag or container, as long as you have a supply of water this can be rehydrated on site and allows you to carry food that takes up minial space and weight.'
